Pharmaceuticals trade expo will showcase new supply chain opportunities

Following reports about the impact of foreign exchange on medicines imports, Pharma West Africa will bring together the region’s various supply chain channels to help boost access to quality medicines in Nigeria and the Region.

The exhibition and conference, is West Africa’s largest major international medicines expo, it is organised by Nigeria’s largest events company, BtoB Events. Its Managing Director Jamie Hill wants all parts of the pharmaceutical supply chain to use the event to find and agree new ways to ensure the public can obtain quality medicines when they need them.

“We know the demand for a trusted and reliable medicines supply network will see many new partnerships forged with the leading importers, wholesalers and professionals from across the West African pharmaceutical industry,” said Mr Hill.

“Our new trade event has been attracting buyers from major open markets, retail chains, and emerging modern wholesalers who are equipped with appropriate storage and logistics facilities. The biggest buyers from the West African pharmaceutical sector will be in attendance looking to source new products and partners from our exhibitor portfolio.”

Pharma West Africa takes place at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, from March 20th to 22nd 2024. The exhibition will have upwards of 120 exhibitors from around the world and expects to attract 2,500 visitors including pharmacists, distributors, and patent & propriety medicines vendors (PPMVs) who will also be able to attend the two-day conference running alongside the exhibition.

The event is being supported by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NADFAC), the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, the Pharmaceutical society of Nigeria and Guidechem.

“Pharma West Africa will be the first time so many policy makers, investors and pharmaceutical manufactures will have the opportunity to meet with the largest importers operating both from open, traditional, markets and pharmacy chains under one roof,” said Mr Hill.
