Pharma West Africa Unveils 2027 Conference Theme: "One Value Chain, One Vision: Building a Resilient and Integrated Pharmaceutical Ecosystem for Africa"

BtoB Events Ltd, organiser of Pharma West Africa, today announced the theme for the 2027 edition of its flagship conference and exhibition: "One Value Chain, One Vision: Building a Resilient and Integrated Pharmaceutical Ecosystem for Africa."

Taking place 13–15 April 2027 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, Pharma West Africa 2027 will bring together manufacturers, distributors, healthcare providers, regulators, investors and policymakers from across the region to address the priorities shaping the future of Africa's pharmaceutical industry.

A Theme Built on Three Priorities

The 2027 theme centres on three defining priorities for the sector:

• Collaboration across the value chain, strengthening partnerships between every stage of the medicine journey
• Resilient supply and local manufacturing, supporting regional production and supply chain security
• A connected ecosystem and interoperability, encouraging partnership and joined-up thinking across the industry

Pharma West Africa 2027 will convene stakeholders across four key pillars of the industry:

• Manufacturing & Supply: manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and supply chain leaders
• Healthcare & Patient Care: community pharmacists, hospitals, healthcare providers and clinical professionals
• Policy & Regulation: regulators and policymakers, including NAFDAC, FDA Ghana, FDA Cameroon and the Medicines Agency of Benin

Together, these stakeholders will help drive progress on local production, access to medicines, healthcare system strengthening, and industry growth across West Africa.

The 2027 conference will once again be chaired by Pharm. Ahmed I. Yakasai, mni, FPSN, former President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria and one of West Africa's most respected pharmaceutical leaders. The event's CPD-accredited conference programme will run across all three days, offering delegates continuing professional development alongside networking and business opportunities.

Building on a Record-Breaking 2026

Pharma West Africa 2026 welcomed 4,572 visitors, 210 exhibitors and 158 VIP hosted buyers to the show floor, cementing its position as Africa's biggest pharmaceutical trade event.
